My name is Markus Hoffmann and after more than 18 years in Spain, I can tell you a lot about buying property here.
After living in Germany, the USA and Costa Rica and having travelled extensively, I decided that Spain was my place. Here I was able to buy my own house. I was able to find a balance between work and life that felt right for me. In my first steps, I had lots of help and support, without which life as a foreigner would not have been so smooth.
10 years into my experience, I decided to share with fellow Spain lovers all I have learned over time, especially how to buy a home here.
It is not difficult to make Spain your second home. If you pay attention to some issues and take cultural differences into account, you can start a happy life in Spain, in your own house or flat.

With our technical inspection you can stop worrying about the technical functioning of the building you are interested in and focus on the subjective aspects of your new house.
Legal property report
The legal report ensures the legal status of an object with the land registry office as well as building permits and possible financial burdens.
Real estate valuation
The price you pay should reflect the local market. We distinguish between “official” valuations for mortgage purposes and actual valuations for your price negotiations.
Energy efficiency certificate
This report collects all the information relevant to the energy consumption and the energy efficiency qualification of a building or part thereof (in case of an apartment or flat).
Pest control
A professional and experienced technician will visit and thoroughly inspect the building to detect possible invasions by unwanted animals and fungus.
